READ ALOUD CONNECTIONS
Read Together. Grow Together.
Read Aloud Connections is the family engagement component of Books in Homes USA. These resources are designed to help families extend the reading experience through conversation, activities, and shared exploration connected to children’s books.
In many of our thematic book distributions, children receive a book along with a take-home worksheet that introduces these activities. Some worksheets also include QR codes that link to additional materials and ideas online.
The development of certain Read Aloud Connections materials is made possible through the generosity of supporters who help fund books and family engagement resources.
Even if your child did not receive the book through a Books in Homes USA distribution, you are welcome to explore these activities together. The resources are free and open to all families who want to read, talk, and learn together.

Why It Matters
Reading aloud isn’t just about literacy—it’s about connection.
